Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
Upon arrival, a friendly driver will be waiting to whisk you away to your cozy hotel in Arusha. After settling in, join us for an engaging orientation session. Our expert guides will share key insights about your trek, and we’ll check your gear to ensure you’re fully prepared for the adventure that awaits!

Day 2: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Get ready to meet your incredible team of guides, chefs, and porters before departing from your Arusha hotel. After registering at the gate, your ascent to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro begins! The hike starts on a narrow trail, enveloped by the lush greenery of the evergreen rain forest. Reaching Kisambioni marks the halfway point, where you’ll enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst nature. Afterward, continue your journey through the enchanting rain forests until you reach Mandara Hut.

Day 3:Horombo hut acclimatization day
Horombo Hut, perched on a plateau, is a busy stop for both ascending and descending hikers. The extra day here is crucial for acclimatization. A recommended hike to Mawenzi Hut, passing Zebra Rocks, helps adjust to the altitude (3 hours up, 1.5 down). Stay hydrated, pace yourself, and enjoy all meals at the hut. Retire early for a good night’s rest before the next stage of your trek.

Day 4 :Horombo Huts (12,000 ft) – Kibo Huts (15,500 ft)
Hiking time: 7 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Wake up early for breakfast and enjoy the sunrise before starting your hike to Kibo Huts (15,500 ft). The first half of the journey takes you through Upper Heathland, while the second half crosses the vast Alpine desert saddle connecting Mawenzi and Kibo, resembling a lunar landscape. This is where altitude sickness may begin to set in, so be cautious of any symptoms. The hike lasts 6 to 7 hours with a lunch stop midway. Stay hydrated and pace yourself!

Day5: SUMMIT DAY (19,340 ft)
After dinner, rest briefly and wake up around midnight for a light breakfast before starting your summit ascent. The climb begins at 1:00am, with the goal to reach Uhuru Peak by sunrise. You’ll arrive at Gilman’s Point on the crater rim around 7:00am, offering stunning views of the crater and glaciers. From here, it’s another 1.5 hours to Uhuru Peak. After celebrating the summit, descend for about 2 hours back to Kibo Hut for brunch, then continue to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Descending from Horombo to the Marangu Gate
After breakfast, pack and begin your descent to Mandara Huts for lunch. Continue down to the park gate, where our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Arusha. You’ll arrive around 4:00 pm for rest and an overnight stay.
